review: Forbidden by Moira McTark (ebook)

10 years ago, Cade and Claire were young and unable to stop the parental plottings to separate them and destroy their love for each other. The resulting heartbreak and damage to both their lives is finally faced when circumstances bring Claire and Cade to work closely together. Cade has sacrificed and struggled to earn respect and success in the construction business. Claire is realizing her dream of owning an art gallery, and continues to try to escape her affluent father's control of her life. Both soon discover they never got over their deep and passionate feelings for each other.

I love the characters already knowing one another/having a shared history. With the shorter length of the story, the heated exchanges between Cade and Claire start immediately, and the connection between this couple is very evident. There is the expected complications of Claire's father (and his hand-picked equally-controlling fiance for Claire) to test Cade and Claire's commitment to a happily-ever-after together. Forbidden is a very good erotic romance read, and its author Moira McTark someone I would look for again.
