"in love" is not enough...

when it comes to a successful marriage, according to a study by the Australian National University. From 2001 to 2007, and involving 2.500 couples, here are some highlights that I found particularly interesting:

• when the woman wants children much more than her partner does, a divorce is more likely.
• having parents that separated or divorced slightly increases the odds of a divorce (16 percent vs. 10 percent)
• second or third marriages led to divorces (90 percent of the time)

Of course, this is one study. And many couples will beat the "odds." This is perhaps just a little something for thought.
